The immune system of our body is made up of the bloodstream, the lymphatic system and a lot of small organs such as the thymus, spleen and tonsils.

The defense from the diseases is the main function of the white blood cells, and one of the activities of all those groups is the production of these cells. The immune system monitors our body and prevents the development of unhealthy cells in the organism.

If we talk about good immunity, we must mention that a healthy life is important and it consists of a healthy diet, sufficient amount of sleep and rest, adequate physical activity, good hygiene habits, adequate working and living habits, and certainly avoiding risky behavior.

In the holistic medicine we use all types of healing products in order to strengthen the immune system, and here we remind you of some remedies you can start using.

1. Green Tea

Due to the high amount of antioxidants, flavonoids and vitamins, this tea is great for strengthening of the immunity and you can find it easily. The high concentration of fluoride in the tea helps in the maintaining of the healthy teeth.

You should drink green tea instead of coffee!

2. Syrup of turnip

Ingredients:

  • 1 large turnip
  • 3-4 tablespoons of honey

Peel the turnip, grate it, mix it with honey and cover the dish with a towel. Let it sit for 6 hours. Strain the liquid into a bottle and keep it in a dark and cold place.

Take one tablespoon of the syrup, 3 to 4 times a day. This syrup strengthens the immune system and has a strong anti-inflammatory activity.

3. Herbal Tea

Take equal amounts of elder flowers, nettle leaves, blackberry leaves, dandelion leaves, lemon balm leaves, wormwood leaves, rose hips, yarrow and chicory. Mix the dried herbs. Pour 3 dl of boiling water over 1 cup of the tea mixture, cover it and let sit for 20-30 minutes and then strain it. Sweeten the tea with honey and take it 4-5 times a day during 20 days. After those 20 days, take it 1-2 times a day.

4. Laurel milk

Ingredients:

  • 2 laurel leaves
  • 2.5 dl of milk

Grind the dry laurel leaves, cover them with milk, let it boil and cook it for 3 minutes. Keep it covered for 15 minutes, and then strain the milk. As a treatment for improving the immunity, you should take it 2 times a day, 7 days in the month.

5. Herbal Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 30 g of nettle leaves
  • 30 g of lemon balm leaves
  • 10 g of chicory root
  • 30 g of rose hip
  • 5-6 tablespoons of honey

Mix the herbs. Take 1.5 tablespoons of the tea mixture and pour 5 dl of boiling water. Keep it covered for 10 minutes and then strain it. Boil the liquid, add the honey, boil it shortly again and take small sips during the day.

6. Cranberries for strong immunity

Ingredients:

  • 50 g of cranberries
  • 50 g of ginger
  • 50 g of cinnamon
  • 1/2 kg of honey
  • 1 lemon

Mix the ground ingredients with honey, squeeze lemon juice and stir until the mixture becomes equal. Take one tablespoon of it, two times a day.

7. Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 8 lemons
  • 1.5 liters of water
  • 1 l of mineral water

Wash the lemons well and wipe them, peel and chop the peel and squeeze the juice. Boil the water, let it cool off a bit and add the honey. When the syrup is completely cooled off, add the peel and the lemon juice, mix everything well and let it sit for 2 hours on a cold place. Strain the lemonade, add the mineral water and drink it. Take the lemonade for 2-4 weeks or as needed.

8. Wine with herbs

Ingredients:

  • 20 g of honey
  • 20 grams of ivy leaves
  • 20 g of dandelion leaves
  • 20 g of nettle
  • 3 dl of boiling white wine

Mix the dried herbs. Pour boiling white wine over 1 tablespoon of the mixture, keep it covered for 15-20 minutes. Take the wine for 20 days, half of it in the morning on an empty stomach, and the rest in small sips during the day.

9. Juice of aloe and propolis

Ingredients:

  • 10 ml of aloe gel
  • 20 ml of wheatgrass juice
  • 5 ml of propolis tincture

Mix the aloe gel with the juice of wheatgrass and the propolis tincture. Take the fresh juice once during the day, in the morning on an empty stomach.

10. Honey with aloe and nuts

Ingredients:

  • 30 g of honey
  • 100 g of aloe gel
  • 500 g ground walnuts
  • 1-2 lemons

Peel the lemons, grind them, add them in the honey and gently heat it until the honey is completely melted. Remove the mixture from the heat, let it cool of a bit and add the ground walnuts and the aloe gel. Put the mixture into heated sterilized jars, seal them and keep them in a cold place. Take one tablespoon of the honey, 2-3 times a day before meals.
