Recipe for Homemade Pine Oil

Finely chop 100g of young pine needles, put them in a jar and add 5 dl of extra virgin olive oil. Close the jar tightly.

Take a pot, put the chopped pine branches, cover them with water and then add the jar with the oil and the pine needles.

Put the pot on a stove and heat it to boiling point, then lower the temperature and boil it for five hours. If there is a need, you should add hot water. Then take the jar out and let the oil cool off.

Strain it, throw away the pine needles, then again add 100 grams of fresh needles in the oil and repeat the entire procedure.

After another five hours of cooking, strain the oil and put it in dark glass bottles and keep them in a dark and cold place.

Treatment of cough and sneeze

If you want to treat the cough with pine oil, you should put 2-3 drops of the oil on the root of the tongue before going to bed. For sneezing, you should put 1-2 drops of the oil in each nostril, 3-5 times a day.

Remedy for bronchitis

In case of bronchitis and lung diseases, you should use the pine oil for a massage in the chest area and the back, but you can also inhale it.

Remedy for sciatica

In case of sciatica, you should apply the pine oil on the lower back, 2-3 times a day and then tie a woolen scarf to warm the place.
