The cabbage, fresh or sour, as a salad, a main course or a side dish, with meat or without it, besides the beans and potatoes, it is a basic ingredient in our kitchen. And in some regions it is used as food and as medicine as well.
Besides the fact that it has only 40 calories per 100 grams, the cabbage contains considerable amounts of phosphorus, calcium, potassium and sulfur, iron, copper, zinc and magnesium. And it is particularly rich in vitamin C, and vitamins A, B1, B2, PP and K. Here is what you can successfully heal:
The cabbage is rich in mineral salts, vitamins and chlorophyll, therefore it is recommended for people who have anemia, and they are supposed to eat it raw or steamed. It would be good to drink two glasses of squeezed cabbage juice during the day.
Three (not full) glasses of fresh cabbage juice a day are a good cure for stomach ulcers. The treatment is carried out until the ulcer is eliminated and, of course, in consultation with the competent people.
The hangover can be eliminated after taking two tablespoons of red cabbage syrup. You can make the syrup if in the cabbage juice you add equal amount of sugar and steam it until it thickens.
The red cabbage syrup soothes the cough. In order to prepare the syrup, you should grate one red cabbage, mash it well and strain it, then heat it to about 45 to 50 degrees and add three to four tablespoons of honey and two deciliters of already prepared marshmallow tea. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon. When the mixture is even, let it cool off and pour it into a dark bottle and keep it in a cold place. You should drink one tablespoon of it, several times a day.
