Home Remedies for DiabetesOur body receives the most important amount of energy from the glucose. The normal glucose level in the blood is 3.9 to 6.1 mmol / L (milli moles per liter).

There may be occasional oscillations of the blood sugar – glucose levels and they lead to various physical and mental changes in the organism. If these oscillations are chronic, they lead to diseases, of which the diabetes is the most common.

There are various home remedies for diabetes that offers you herbal method to treat diabetes effectively. Here are some handy recipes that can help keep that sugar level down.

Soup for lowering of the blood sugar level


  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 unpeeled onion cut into four pieces
  • 500g of beans
  • 1 small chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup of peanuts
  • 1/2 cup fenugreek sprouts or 1/2 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves of chopped garlic
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of ground cloves
  • A pinch of turmeric


Cook the water and the onions in a large pot, over medium heat, until it boils. Add the beans, carrots, peanuts, fenugreek shoots or fenugreek seeds, bay leaves, garlic, cinnamon, cloves and the turmeric. When it boils, cook it over low heat for 30 minutes or until the onion becomes soft. Remove the pieces of the onion, peel it and throw away the peel. Lightly mash the onion with a fork and put it back in the pot. Take the bay leaves and throw them away.

This amount of soup is enough for 4 people.

Recipe with horseradish, garlic and beer


  • Horseradish root, long about 20 cm and wide about 2 cm
  • 9 cloves of garlic
  • Fresh beer of good quality
  • Glass jar or bottle of 1l


Wash the horseradish roots thoroughly, but do not peel it. Chop it finely and put it in a jar. Peel and wash the cloves of garlic. Chop them and put them in the jar. Pour fresh beer over the mixture (up to the narrowing part of the bottle), cover it with something and leave it in a dark place for 10 days. Then strain it.

Use:  the first two days take 1 teaspoon, 2-3 times a day. The following days take 1 tablespoon, 3 times a day before meals.

This mixture can “fight” the high sugar level within a month and keep it under control.

Recipe with oats

Pour 0.5 liters of boiled and cooled water over 50 g of oats. Cook the mixture over low heat, let it boil and cook it for 10-15 minutes. Remove it from the heat, cover it and let it sit for 1 hour

Use: half a glass 3-4 times a day, before meals. The treatment last for 2-3 weeks.

Recipe with eggs

Whisk one egg. Squeeze the juice of one medium lemon in the egg. Mix the mixture well.

Use: every morning on an empty stomach. Duration of the treatment: at least 2 weeks.
