The fungi are very persistent and durable parasites, which can cause very big damage to your body, including the fingernails and the toenails. The fungal infection of the nails is called onychomycosis, and it begins at the inner side of the nails. It can be noticed by the discoloration of the nails, its thickening and distortion and unnatural fragility.
As prevention, it is recommended to keep good hygiene of the toes and feet, and to avoid unnecessary wetting, especially of the legs. If your feet sweat excessively it is necessary to change the socks or the shoes, and if your hands are exposed to moisture, you should wear rubber gloves. Wash your feet at least once a day. Keep your feet dry, especially between the toes. Wear cotton or wool socks that absorb the sweat and change them twice a day or more frequently, as soon as your feet become wet. Do not go barefoot in public showers – use rubber slippers. You should apply antifungal powder on the shoes and your feet.
Fungi do not disappear on their own
In one third of the cases of fungal infection of the feet, it can lead to mixed diseases with bacteria, which is usually accompanied by unpleasant smell. Since our health affects the skin as well, the treatment of the fungal diseases is necessary since the disease will not disappear by itself, but it usually gets worse. How many times have you found yourself in front of a wall, because on your feet, especially on your toes, there is white thickening, which is not a dry skin but fungi on your feet.
Of course there are various creams and other medications that can help. Also, it is recommended to see a dermatologist.
There are also several natural ways to remove these little parasites that attack your skin of the feet and the toenails.
Apple cider vinegar
Soak a cotton cloth in apple cider vinegar and apply it on the infected areas of the skin. Let it dry for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This is a very effective way, because the vinegar slightly lowers the pH of the skin, which prevents the growth of the fungi. Another way is to pour one cup of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar into a few liters of very hot water and soak your feet in it for 15-20 minutes, twice a day. This medicine will also kill the fungi under the nails.
You know that the water we use to wash our mouths very effectively eliminates the fungi on the feet. You should prepare a bath for the feet from 3 caps of mouthwash water and 2 liters of warm water, keep your feet in the bath for about 20 minutes, and then it is good to apply a cream for dry skin on your feet. With its disinfectant and antiseptic properties, this will eliminate most types of fungi within a couple of days, if you soak your feet in it two times a day, for about fifteen minutes.
Ginger and garlic – a winning combination in the fight against fungi
Add a couple of crushed garlic cloves and grinned ginger root in a bowl of warm water. Add a tablespoon of medicinal alcohol – ethanol. Soak your feet for 10 minutes. Then dry your feet completely. Repeat this 2-3 times a day. This bath will give you a great relief. Another way is to apply garlic powder on your feet twice a day or wash them with garlic juice (if you can stand the intense smell of the garlic).
