How To Use Honey for Bronchitis Treatment The sharp (acute) bronchitis is inflammation of the lining of the lungs (bronchi). The bronchitis occurs with a cold, by breathing the humid and cold air, by sudden changes of the weather. It’s accompanied by some infectious diseases like influenza, typhoid etc. and often occurs when there is a complication of a cold, sore throat etc. The bronchitis is a relatively easy disease and healing with honey helps here.

– You should take from 100 to 150 g of honey, divided into small doses and keep it in the mouth for some time in order to be slowly absorbed by the oral mucosa. Usually the treatment with honey last up to 20 days.

– In the morning, at noon and in the evening, you should take 1 teaspoon of the following mixture 20 minutes before meals: 500 g of honey (previously melted on steam for 10 minutes), 100 g of linseed flour, 20 g of fennel powder and 20 g of ginger powder. You should stir the mixture every time before you use it.

Half an hour before using the mixture, you should drink one cup of the following tea:

Mix 50g of the following herbs: marshmallow (flower and root), elderberry, thyme, mint, plantain, primrose, mountain tea and liquorice root in a glass jar with a lid. Boil two tablespoons of this mixture with two tablespoons of honey in 500ml of water for about 10 minutes. When the tea cools off, strain it and drink it during the whole day.

Chronic Bronchitis

Chronic bronchitis usually occurs as a complication of the acute bronchitis, it can also occur as occupational disease, when it comes to very humid and dusty rooms. The heavy smokers often suffer from it. The affected person coughs constantly, and the attacks are particularly strong in the morning. The cough is accompanied by a separation of slimy and slimy festering sputum.

In adults it can last for years and cause expansion of the alveoli. In that case, the affected person spits sputum every morning, and sometimes they are accompanied by dark blood clots.

A mixture of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and honey

Grind finely 50 grams of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg and mix them with 500 grams of honey. Stir well and take one teaspoon, 3 times a day.

Coltsfoot tea

Boil one handful of coltsfoot, 500 ml of water and 2 tablespoons of honey for 10 minutes. Drink it in sips, instead of water.

Syrup of milk, nettle root and honey

For festering and heavy sputum, you should use this syrup -boil a handful of chopped nettle roots, 500 ml of milk and 2 tablespoons of honey for 30 minutes, strain it and drink 100 ml of it, 3-4 times a day.

Tea for healing of spastic bronchitis

Take 50 g of basil, 50 g of hazelnut leaves, 50 g of poplar leaves and 50 g of plantain leaves. Make a mixture and keep it in a glass jar with a lid. Take two tablespoons of the mixture, 600 ml of water and 2 tablespoons of honey and boil in a covered pot for 10 minutes. Strain it and drink it 3 times a day.
